Víctor Torres

Víctor Torres es un pastor, maestro y conferencista, quien perteneció a pandillas y fue adicto a la heroína en las violentas calles de la ciudad de Nueva York. A través del Ministerio de David Wilkerson y las oraciones de su madre, experimentó sanación y un encuentro cercano con Jesucristo. Víctor es el fundador y presidente de Nueva Vida para Jóvenes –New Life For Youth-, uno de los ministerios más grandes y exitosos de América, ayudando literalmente a decenas de miles de jóvenes, hombres y mujeres, a lo largo de sus 50 años de servicio, a encontrar libertad de la adicción a las drogas y la vida de pandillas. La sede del ministerio está en Virginia y cuenta con 200 residentes entre estudiantes y personal de apoyo. Víctor, junto a su esposa Carmen, son los fundadores y pastores principales de la iglesia Internacional de Alcance Nueva Vida (New Life Outreach International Church) en Richmond, Virginia. Esta congregación multicultural cuenta con aproximadamente 1,000 miembros representantes de más de 40 nacionalidades y culturas. El Pastor Torres recibió el Premio Teológico de Unidad Multicultural. La iglesia tiene 22 sedes a través de los Estados Unidos y el mundo. Víctor tiene un doctorado honorario de Vanguard University. Se constituye en un experto en el campo de la adicción y ha sido reconocido por muchas agencias de gobierno debido a su trabajo. New Life Outreach Int’l has 22 churches throughout the United States and the world. Victor has an honorary doctorate from Vanguard University. He is noted as an expert in the field of addiction and has been recognized by many government agencies for his work. A major motion picture has been produced about the life of Victor, detailing his life as depicted in his autobiography of Son of Evil Street. He has also authored several other books. He and Carmen Torres have four children and eleven grandchildren. Their vision is to reach the lost for Christ and make disciples by duplicating their ministry one hundred times over, all within their lifetime.
